I started adopting senior cats around the same time I started practicing historical fencing. Friends joke that I’m running a cat hospice, but the truth is I just have a soft spot for the old ones. I especially love photographing senior pets and end-of-life moments that help people hold onto the time they’ve shared together.

When it comes to sports, my passion is the communities we build as adults — the weird, wonderful leagues and hobbies that people devote themselves to outside of school and professional competition. As a practitioner of Historical European Martial Arts myself, I’m comfortable shooting fast action in small gyms, dim venues, and the kinds of places where niche sports actually happen.

My style focuses on natural light, candid moments, and photos that feel true to the people and communities in them.
